veterinary camp

Hi there,
Just a quick update on the recent veterinary camp we had carried out in the northern region of Kenya. Thats the area which was hardest hit by the drought last year. Through good contacts which we had established over the years we were able to come in with a team of veterinaries from the States and one doctor from Kenya. About 5000 animals were vaccinated and treated and lots of new friends made. It is incredible how much the pastoralists love their animals and how it touches their lives.
Maybe because of that some members of the community were suspicious and reluctant to receive help, whereas others asked us to come back as soon as possible.
We pray that the effort we have made would make a difference in the hearts of the people.
